Scout Vespers

"The Closing Campfire Song"-Sung to the tune of "O, Tannenbaum"

Softly falls the light of day, as our campfire fades away.

Silently each scout should ask have I done my daily task?

Have I keep my honor bright? Can I guiltless sleep tonight?

Have I done and have I dared everything to be prepared?

Day is done, gone the sun from the hills from the lakes from the sky, all is well safely rest, God is done. Goodnight scouts.

Scouting Roads

"The Sabattis Song"-Sung to the tune of "Country Roads"

YouTube Clip of Scouting Roads from Sabattis

Almost heaven, green Sabattis

Graves Mountain, Bog Flow River

Life is older, older than the trees,

Younger than the mountains, flowin' like a breeze

Scouting Roads, take me home

To the place, where I belong

Sabattis Scouting Reservation

Take me home, Scouting Roads.

All my mem'ries, gather'd 'round camp,

Polar bear and climbing Lookout Mountain

Virgin Timber, campin' at High Falls

Canoein' out to Gooseneck, list'nin' to Loon calls

Scouting Roads, take me home

To the place, where I belong

Sabattis Scouting Reservation

Take me home, Scouting Roads.

I hear her voice, over misty lakes she calls me,

the fire siren reminds me of my home far away,

travelin' Scouting Roads I get the feelin' that I should've been here yesterday,

yesterday

Scouting Roads, take me home

To the place, where I belong

Sabattis Scouting Reservation

Take me home, Scouting Roads

Take me home, take me home,

Scouting Roads.
